Slack lines started out as a traditional circus prop, now reinvented using modern materials. Slack Lines are very similar to tightwires but slightly more slack. You have two fixed points (trees, posts, etc…) with a length of super-strong material with a slight flex. This ‘flex’ allows users to jump and “slam” the line.
Slacklining has grown in popularity with a large scene of teams much like extreme skateboarding.
Don’t disregard safety – slacklining over soft surfaces like grass or a crash pad is highly recommended! As a general rule, wider and shorter lines are best for beginners. Great products here from Maverick and Macaco to browse through.
